Joseph Jaffe, Social Media Thought Leader, Author and Founder of Evol8tion, LLC
"What if we got it all wrong? What if we've been going about marketing completely the wrong way?" These are the type of provocative questions that drive Joseph Jaffe's latest book, Flip the Funnel, and his dynamic keynote presentation. As a speaker, thought-leader and author on innovation, marketing, and new media, Jaffe's passionate and straight-forward delivery challenges the status quo of doing business. He aims to transform the way businesses acquire new customers by completely rethinking the approach to customer retention. From the ten new rules of customer service and the importance of creating a unique and powerful customer experience to the incredible potential of new media, Jaffe will reveal his insights into how the current (and future) marketplace will allow us to do more with less.
Joseph Jaffe is the founder of Evol8tion, LLC, an innovation agency he helped launch in early 2012. They match early-stage startups with established brands to partner via mentoring, pilot programs, investment or acquisition. His founding clients include Anheuser-Busch InBev and Kraft Foods. In 2006, Jaffe founded and ran a strategic consultancy, crayon, that serviced clients like The Coca-Cola Company, Panasonic and H&R Block. Before that, he was Director of Interactive Media at TBWA/Chiat/Day and OMD USA, where he worked on Kmart, ABSOLUT Vodka, Embassy Suites and Samsonite. He's captured the attention of major media outlets like ABC Evening News, CBS Evening News, Bloomberg, NPR, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Fortune, Newsweek, Business Week, Ad Age, and Adweek. His audio podcast "Jaffe Juice" recently won the Reader's Choice Award for "Best Marketing Podcast."
Optimism Can Take you AnywhereJohn Jacobs, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Optimist, Life is good®
If there's one phrase that can sum up John Jacobs' business beliefs, it's "Do what you like and like what you do." In this inspiring presentation, Jacobs discusses how his life has been shaped by an unshakable sense of optimism. From the importance of discovering your true passion and translating that passion for a greater good to how his $100 million t-shirt company weaves philanthropy into the very fabric of their culture, Jacobs's presentation will convince you that good vibes are indeed contagious. After all, "Optimism isn't an American message – it's a human message."
John Jacobs is the Chief Creative Optimist of the Life is good Company, a privately-held business valued at $100 million. In 1994, John and his brother Bert founded the Boston-based t-shirt company with just $78 in the bank between them. Today, Life is good® products are sold by over 5,000 retailers in the US and in 32 countries worldwide. As living proof that "Optimism can take you anywhere," John credits simplicity, humility and a sense of humor as the three keys to their continued success.

The Preserve at Verdae Golf Club
Welcome to The Preserve at Verdae! Originally designed by Willard Byrd, this 18-hole, par-72 championship course just received a $3 million update, making it one of the greenest (and eco-friendly) courses in the Upstate. Just minutes away from Downtown Greenville and surrounded by the beauty of the Carolina foothills, this lush course was home to the PGA Nike Tour Upstate Classic for nine years. Get ready for a challenging level of play on a scenic course (up to 144 golfers)!
Green Valley Country Club
Green Valley was designed in 1958 by world-renowned architect George Cobb and renovated in 2001 by Tom Jackson. Just north of Downtown Greenville in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this 18-hole, par-72 championship course explores the natural beauty of the Reedy River Valley. Green Valley measures 6,950 yards from the longest tees and offers an enjoyable challenge for every golfer, regardless of skill (up to 144 golfers).
Or you can drive it like you stole it!
BMW Performance Driving School
There's only one place to truly experience "the Ultimate Driving Machine," and that's right here in Greer, SC at the BMW Performance Driving School. You'll truly understand the Joy of Driving after this one-of-a-kind event! Throughout the afternoon, professional drivers will show you how it's done as you take the driver's seat of the newest models. From the challenge races and slalom course to the handling course and even off-road driving, you'll be testing your limits, honing your skills and grinning ear-to-ear (up to 100 drivers).
Go farm-to-table with the freshest produce in the field…
Greenbrier Farm Culinary Tour
Just minutes from Downtown Greenville, there is another world waiting to be discovered. You'll enjoy pastoral, down-home scenery as you explore 300 acres of farmland dedicated to raising food that is both good tasting and good for you. After the tour, you'll harvest veggies and then learn how to use them in an expert cooking demonstration! But, the main event on this culinary adventure? Happy hour with live music and a special craft beer tasting as you enjoy your farm-fresh culinary masterpieces (up to 75 chefs).
Just don't let those (clay) pigeons get away!
River Bend Sportman's Resort
Ready to take a shot at one of the fastest growing sports around? Join us at the River Bend Sportsman's Resort for an afternoon of clay target shooting on their 550-acre private wingshooting preserve. You'll get 50 clays thrown in a variety of styles. And from the initial safety lesson to the finer points of the sport, you'll be accompanied by staff from one of the premier clay shooting schools in the nation (up to 100 shooters).
